Due to failure on network management equipment, mail servers were not able to perform their task properly. This caused long queues on mails and will affect delivery of the e-mails and response of the e-mail servers. Sorry for the inconvenience, ITS is working hard to get the system to fully operational status.
Has the email situation moved from slow to non-existant? I haven't received emails all day, which is highly abnormal.
ReplyDeleteThank you for all of your hard work!
Glad you are posting updates here...it's good not to be in the dark...
ReplyDeleteI do think it's the slowness, not a complete outage...Outlook tends to time out when sending a message, but it eventually goes through, though it might take several tries.
Any idea if people who are trying to e-mail us are having their messages bounce?
Is there an update on e-mail service?
ReplyDeleteWhat is the status today? Please keep this blog as up to date as possible.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much.
I'd also like to know the status of the email system.
ReplyDeleteNot only is my email service being interrupted, but my network drive is also experiencing interruption.
ReplyDeleteI wasn't experiencing email problems in the beginning, NOW I am totally in the dark. I CANNOT DO MY WORK THIS WAY.
I hate to simply repeat what others have already said, but it is crippling to be, for all practical purposes, without access to e-mail. Can someone in the loop let us know an approximate ETA for resolution of this issue?
ReplyDeleteOur department wasn't experiencing any email problems because we are on the MS Exchange Server. We are also experiencing intermittent network interruption (at this time the network seems to be working). Since both the MS Exchange Server and UDM Email system have been down for 2 days, as well as problems with the network, this would be a good time to covert over to Banner. Conversion is going to happen sooner or later, why not sooner? Just a suggestion.
ReplyDeleteA very grateful thank you to UDM's IT Department. I know you are working very hard to resolve these email & network issues.
Can someone please issue another update on the email situation? My email came up for a couple hours last night (as I was able to receive my 17 emails from yesterday), however I have received none again today.
ReplyDeleteThank you.
Some messages will have bounced back, some will have been queued on the senders system. If you think your missing something, be sure to ask someone to resend their message.
ReplyDeleteNetwork drives for dept's have stablized.
