At 6:10 pm, an internet outage was experienced that affects all three campuses except for the McNichols residence halls. Earlier in the day, our ISP had reported working in the area to repair other issues. Networking staff are working with our ISP to resolve this outage ASAP.
Internet provider still working on issue. Network team is continuing to monitor their work. Four other local university also down at this time besides UDM.

We have been informed by our ISP that replacement equipment for our point of connection (and the other schools) is being driven in and the fixes will take place at 7:00 am.
ReplyDeleteResident users should be fine (weather permitting) to continue to access the internet and University resources.
On campus Jesuits are limited to access of UDM resources only.
Once we have more info, we will share that with you.
I hope you realize that this is the week before exams, and that nearly all course material is hosted on Blackboard. What a convenient mess at such a wonderful time. The registration fiasco is reprehensible enough, but this is utterly unacceptable. Seriously, get your IT department together.
