Wondering the same thing...??? For law school students, these is too long, esp. when responses are needed about papers... can you make a more definitive estimate??
perhaps a better time would of been over winter break. As a fellow law student has posted; many students are waiting for responses back from teachers in ref. to papers. Anyway to make this work now for the time being?
Were expecting uptime very, very soon. All data has finally moved over to the new system and validation testing is almost done.
We do agree Winter break would have been a better time but unfortunately, we knew we could not sustain the system uptime until that point. We anticipated a major crash within the next 5-7 days at which time we may be caught in the middle of a week or closer to Thanksgiving (which we know if a critical time for the start of finals). We're quite sorry this has taken as long as it has but we feel its necessary for e-mail communication to continue on without disruption during these remaining weeks of the semester.
Just a side note while the project comes to an end...if you are a law student, ITS would be interested in any comments you may have about the WIFI network and the internet speeds that were rolled out at the start of the school year...please feel free to post responses to this blog or e-mail its@udmercy.edu
The internet, as I reported to Dean Caprio is unavailable from the heavy traffic times of about 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. I have approached the topic with her and also with fellow law students. I will email you with more exact information, as soon as my account is active.
Finally up. Communication coming via e-mail with some details. All accounts upgraded to 25Meg. Thank you for your patience. If you encounter issues, please let us know. (Yes, all mail will appear to look as if it has not been read yet.)
Jared, thanks. When its convenient for you, please send over comments regarding Law WIFI and Internet access. We want to make certain things are properly operating.
Could you provide specifics on your bandwidth issue. Where and when you encounter issues, what time of day and what sites...or services are being used. Help us...help you.

What does that mean? How much longer do you estimate?

I agree. This seems like it is taking way too long for a university based email.

We believe we are within an hour of coming up.
thank you for trying to give a more accurate estimate for the mail service coming back up

I agree. Thank you for your hard work. I understand the time issue, and hope to have my e-mail back within the hour.
Any idea on web-link being down as well prior to 10:00 pn. This has also be a recurring issue.

why not spend time fixing the internet bandwidth instead of ruining our email accounts.
