Anticipated down-time

There will be a small down-time window on Monday during business hours while the electricians perform a quick reconfiguration to the server room panel for the new equipment.

E-mail Gateway offline between 2am and 6am

E-mail received during this period of time may be delayed in delivery due to an issue with the SPAM system. Queues are rapidly processing all messages at this time.

Weblink is up but is being very heavily used

Weblink is up and running since shortly after 1 PM but remains slow due to very heavy usage. It remains up until 10 PM so you may wish to try a little later in the evening. SHamilton

Mainframe is down for repair

The Unisys rep is here working on the machine. Anticipated downtime is approximately one hour to replace a bad board. SHamilton

Apecs and Weblink are available but the system is running slow as there is a bad hardware component in the mainframe that will need replacing. UNISYS has been called and will be on site sometime today. SHamilton

UNISYS Mainframe (Apecs) and Weblink down 8 AM 3/20/07

The Unisys mainframe is experiencing problems. I am working on it but in the interim Apecs and Weblink will be down. SHamilton

The ldap directory server is fully operational. All services using the directory have been restored.

Faculty/Student Organization Web Server Offline

The faculty/student organization is currently offline. Service is expected to be restored soon.

Internet Down

The router that directly connects the University to the internet has failed. The unit is on a replacement contract and the new unit will be on-site 3/15/07 in the morning. Once it arrives, it will be installed as quickly as possible.

At this time internet access is available but not at guarenteed rates.

One of the batch jobs from last night was hung up resulting in Apecs not coming up. This has been corrected. Apecs and Weblink are now available. SHamilton

Internet based e-mail was temporarily unavailable from 2:30 am to 6:00 am today. Service has been restored.
