McNichols Wireless Temporarily Down

ITS is working to restore access ASAP.

McNichols, Novi Internet Down and partially Corktown Clinic Down

Due to a fire at the Cell tower that feeds the university Internet and cell service, on site connectivity, including wireless is down. ITS will provide updates as available. We anticipate this outage the last more than four hours. Employees should consult with their supervisor about work from home opportunities.

Blackboard Outage Scheduled (7/29/26)

Blackboard will be unavailable beginning Wednesday, July 29, at 11:00 p.m. while a scheduled infrastructure upgrade is applied to strengthen platform security. The outage is expected to last approximately two hours, with service expected to return around 1:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 30.

 

During this time, students and instructors will not be able to access Blackboard courses, assignments, grades, tests, or related course materials. Please plan accordingly to complete any time-sensitive work before the outage begins or once the updates are complete.

Corktown WIFI and Internet Down

ITS is investigating this outage and working to restore ASAP.  Internal clinic access to Axium from clinic computers is functional.

Banner Upgrades - Tonight, 7/22, 9 p.m. – 5 a.m.

Banner will be offline tonight, July 22 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. on July 23, while system upgrades are installed.

Novi Campus - Internet Outage

While users may connect to the WIFI, the internet is down.  ITS is investigating and will work to restore ASAP.

CHP Network Cutover - Brief Outage

Starting at 7:00 AM on July 14, 2026 there will be a brief outage across the CHP building on the McNichols campus while the network team cuts over connectivity to new network switches supporting the renovated CHP North building.

Novi Campus Down - ISP Investigating

The Novi campus is temporarily down and our ISP is investigating the outage.

Banner Upgrades - May 23 from 12:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.

On Saturday, May 23 from 12:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m., Banner will be offline while system upgrades are installed.

Primary ISP down for 2 hours

 ITS is investigating the cause of the outage that started at 10:44 PM for two hours.  All services are restored at this time.

Interconnections between MCN and Riverfront+Corktown

We have received notice from our ISP that there is a problem with both our interconnections to the Riverfront and Corktown campus.  We are awaiting a resolution at this time.

Planned Phone Outage - Saturday, April 18, 2026 - Very Short

There is a planned power outage scheduled for this Saturday morning which may take the McNichols phones offline for a very short period of time.  This is advance warning that may happen.

Limesurvey - Issue Resolved

The access issue to this solution is now resolved.

McNichols Phones Temporarily Offline

Due to the power outage in CHP (related to the construction project), the McNichols phones are temporarily out.  Those on Team’s phones are functional.

 

Facilities is working to restore power to ASAP at which time the phones will become active.

ITS is investigating all wireless connections down at this time and working to restore ASAP.

As of 12:30 AM, MCN campus internet is down.  ITS is working with our provider to restore access ASAP.

Scheduled Website Maintenance – March 12, 10:00–10:15 AM

ITS will perform scheduled maintenance on several University websites on March 12 from 10:00 AM to 10:15 AM. The maintenance should be transparent to users, and no connection issues are expected.  If any unexpected issues occur, they are expected to last less than a minute.
