Dental IT Services Down

All servers on the Dental campus are temporarily down due to the effects from this evenings storm.  Services will be restored sometime after 7:00 am or as soon as is possible.

 

Dorms Internet service slow-down

As of  7:06 p.m. this evening, we lost the main feed to the Dorms network, affecting Internet service performance. According to our ISP, this problem should be solved by midnight; at that time Dorms Internet service will be able to work with full capacity. Access to resources on University network are not affected by
this technical problem.

We sorry for the services not running at full capacity as designed, and inconvenience that situation might cause.

@udmercy.edu blacklisted by Comcast

ITS has been made aware that UDM has been temporarily blacklisted by Comcast.  ITS is working to clear our good name as quickly as possible to restore service between our two domains.

 

Blackboard service available – Saturday, Aug. 16 at 6:00 p.m.

Blackboard service is available to users; Blackboard software upgrade is concluded ahead of schedule.

Please report all irregularities in Blackboard operation using usual channels: contact IDS or open Helpdesk ticket.

Blackboard Upgrade planed – Service outage Saturday Aug. 16 and Sunday Aug.17

ITS plans on performing major upgrade of our Blackboard system resulting in service outage. Blackboard service won’t be available Saturday, August 16 and Sunday, August 17. Please don’t plan using Blackboard on these days. This work will start at Saturday 8:30 a.m.; if you are using Blackboard Saturday morning please make sure that you close your session and log out before that time in order to prevent loss of data and your work.

Please check this blog for all updates related to Blackboard upgrade; ITS will announce conclusion of this work and Blackboard availability.

Law to MCN Connection Down

The connection between the Law School and McNichols is temporarily down.  IT Networking staff are working to resolve this as quickly as possible.

 

General internet access to sites outside of the .udmercy.edu domain will function as those go out a separate connection.

 

Blacklisted

The @udmercy.edu domain has been blacklisted since this morning by Verizon and Comcast.  ITS is working to clear our good name and re-establish the flow of mail between our companies.  There are likely other locations we are unaware of that are temporarily blacklisting us as well.  This situation is the result of someone giving up their email credentials to a scammer.  Please avoid sharing your information with anyone.
