Banner Upgrades - October 31 from 5 a.m. – 1 p.m.

On Saturday, October 31 from 5 a.m. – 1 p.m., Banner will be offline while system upgrades are installed.

libraries.udmercy.edu down - Use Temp Site for Now

WQ Cable TV Down

West Quad cable TV is temporarily down.  ITS is working to restore service.

Helpdesk System Temporarily Down

Users may encounter issues when attempting to reach the hd.udmercy.edu system.  ITS is working to resolve this issue.

Internet Down - Novi Campus

Due to the local power outage, the internet is down across the Novi campus.

 

No ETA on power restoration at this time.

Riverfront 5 minute outage - September 22, 2026 7:00 AM

Due to a 5-minute power outage Tuesday, September 22, 2026 at 7:00 AM network including WIFI services may temporarily be down.  Asher building may not lose power but will lose connectivity during this short outage.

McNichols Internet Outage - Resolved

At 6:00 PM there was an emergency maintenance event on our internet connection.  Services was restored at 6:18 PM.

 

All services should now be back up and running.

Library Portal Down

ITS is working to restore access ASAP.

Riverfront Campus Internet Down

Our ISP is working to repair the internet connection to the Riverfront campus that occurred around 12:00 AM.  No ETA at the moment.

 

McNichols WIFI Partially Down

ITS is working to restore WIFI access to the 50% of campus that is presently down.

 

Library Website Down

ITS is working to restore access to the libraries.udmercy.edu website.  No ETA at the moment.

Scheduled Internet Maintenance - All Campuses - August 26, 2026

Our ISP will be performing maintenance on their network from 12:00 AM to 4:00 AM on August 26, 2026.

 

We may experience some outages during this off-peak period.

 

McNichols Wireless Temporarily Down

ITS is working to restore access ASAP.

McNichols, Novi Internet Down and partially Corktown Clinic Down

Due to a fire at the Cell tower that feeds the university Internet and cell service, on site connectivity, including wireless is down. ITS will provide updates as available. We anticipate this outage the last more than four hours. Employees should consult with their supervisor about work from home opportunities.

Blackboard Outage Scheduled (7/29/26)

Blackboard will be unavailable beginning Wednesday, July 29, at 11:00 p.m. while a scheduled infrastructure upgrade is applied to strengthen platform security. The outage is expected to last approximately two hours, with service expected to return around 1:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 30.

 

During this time, students and instructors will not be able to access Blackboard courses, assignments, grades, tests, or related course materials. Please plan accordingly to complete any time-sensitive work before the outage begins or once the updates are complete.

ITS is investigating this outage and working to restore ASAP.  Internal clinic access to Axium from clinic computers is functional.
