Spam Warning - Emergency Notification

Should you receive a message entitled "Emergency Notification" from an @udmercy.edu user, please feel free to delete it.  It is a scam.

Slow or unresponsive internet connectivity - Resolved

Community members may be experiencing a service issue with internet performance.

We received notification from our provider that due a DDoS attack some members may experience latency and slowness.  The issue is currently being worked on by our provider and will be resolved. No ETA has been provided.

VOICEMAIL RESTORED

Voicemail has been fixed and has been tested and is currently running at 100%.  Thanks for your patience.

VOICEMAIL - Sporadic Issues

Voicemail is currently experiencing a problem with a piece of hardware.  Users will find that when leaving or retrieving a message there is currently a 1 in 5 or 20% chance of the call not reaching the mailbox.  If you try to leave or retrieve a message and get a strange greeting - please just hang up and dial again and it should work.  University IT is working with our 3rd party Maintenance Company "Communitech" to acquire the needed part and get it replaced ASAP.  Sorry for the inconvenience.

Blackboard maintenance work is now complete, and service is turned online. Any irregularity in operation is to be reported in usual manner.

Blackboard maintenance planned – 72 hours outage starting Tuesday 8/11 at 7:30 a.m.

Major software change is due for our Blackboard system. This operation starts Tuesday, 8/11 at 7:30 and is expected to take up to 72 hours. Please don’t plan any activity in Blackboard during this period. Make sure that you exit Blackboard before maintenance start. Check this blog for updates on this action and do not start using Blackboard before you confirm that system has returned to operation; you may lose data otherwise.
