All known blacklisted sites have cleared UDM’s e-mail.  If you encounter further sites, please let the Helpdesk know.

University e-mail rejected 04/26 7:30 a.m.

For reason of compromised e-mail account, University e-mail system was abused by spammers. At this time Hotmail (MSN) and AOL are rejecting e-mail messages sent by our e-mail system. ITS is working to resolve this situation and enable normal flow of e-mail to our contacts.

Rebooting XP systems/ NT_Authority Issue - UPDATE

ITS has confirmed that the XP rebooting issue is the McAfee issue that has been reported in the media. ITS staff have the suggested resolution to the problem and will be testing tonight. If results are positive then ITS will begin to implement the resolution tomorrow. If your system has been affected by this please contact the helpdesk @3-1500 or helpdesk@udmercy.edu.

NT_Authority Message

The University is currently experiencing a university wide issue. The issue is an error message states that NT_Authority is starting a automatic shutdown of your system. If you receive this error please power off your system immediately and notify helpdesk @3-1500. ITS is currently investigating and working on a solution. Please check back for updates.

This issue appears to be a world wide issue as ITS has seen several reports that this issue is not isolated to the University. It appears to be an issue with McAfee AV falsely identifying key Window files as a virus. ITS staff is working on a solution to the issue now. Please check back for further updates

TC Portal Online

TitanConnect Portal services are now back in service.

TC Portal Offline

The TitanConnect(TC) portal is currently experiencing a SAN(storage) issue. We are working on the problem.

Update : We are working with our SANS vendor to resolve the issue. We do not currently have an estimate on time to complete. Email services are available if you are using a mail client.

Blackboard services short outage 04/10 4:30 p.m.

Blackboard service had a short outage, 5 minutes, on 04/10 4:30 p.m. for technical reasons. Users using the system could continue their work after the outage as resolved. We apologize for this inconvenience.

Dental Phone Outage

The Problem with the Dental Phone outage has been repaired. All phones should be working as normal. Thanks.

The Dental Phone System is experiencing problems. Calls can currently be made INTO the campus, but dialtone and the ability to call OUT is currently not available. IT is on site working to resolve. We will update when the status changes. Sorry for the inconvenience. Thank you.

Easter Weekend Hours

TitanConnect will be available 24/7 (as always).  TitanTV as well.  Labs, Helpdesk and AV will be closed until regular hours start on Monday.  The network is on auto-pilot and will be monitored and managed from a distance.
