NQ 3rd Floor Reported Down

System monitoring tools are showing the WIFI down on North Quad, Floor 3.  WIFI bleed from the 4th floor may adequately cover most (but not all) areas on the 3rd floor.  ITS will address as soon as possible.

Internet Email Issue

ITS is investigating an issue that is preventing internet email from flowing into UDM.  Mail from @udmercy to @udmercy accounts appears to flow fine but outside communications to @udmercy does not.

Brief Internet Outage after 10:00 pm Tonight

Tonight, around 10:00 pm there may be a very brief one time five (5) minute internet outage that could impact your use of the internet.  Our Internet Service Provider is performing a quick update that will impact the majority of Universities and Colleges in the southeastern MI region.

 

Users on the McNichols, Corktown and Law campuses as well as those in clinics that route out to the internet through a campus connection may not be able to reach off-campus sites and, users off-campus may not be able to reach University hosted resources (such as TitanConnect, Blackboard, etc.) during this period of time.

 

Students living in residence will not be affected during this outage.

Law School - WiFi is unavailable

Currently the WiFi is unavailable at the Law School.  Our team is aware of the issue and are working to resolve.  Check back here for updates.

TC Maintenance - 03/07/2013 7:00 to 7:30 a.m.

On Friday March 7, 2013 between 7:00 and 7:30 a.m. the TitanConnect (http://tc.udmercy.edu) web servers will be restarted.  During this maintenance window web based portal services will experience short periods of service disruption.

Update : March 7 7:25 a.m.  Maintenance has been completed.

Blackboard service available 03/07 at 7:45 a.m.

Scheduled Blackboard software maintenance is successfully concluded and Blackboard service is restored.

Dental School Network Issue

Network and Internet access on campus is currently operating very slowly. IT staff were onsite at the start of this and are working to resolve it ASAP.

Blackboard Maintenance scheduled 3/7 at 7:30 a.m.



Blackboard supplied us with the new software patches. We decided to apply these patches outside our regular maintenance window, Thursday March 7, starting at 7:30 a.m.
Anticipated time needed to accomplish this action is 30 minutes and Blackboard service won’t be available until 8:00 a.m.

If you are using Blackboard, please close your session and log out before 7:30 a.m. to avoid possible loss of data. For any update on status, please check this blog.
