Titan Connect login issue - Too many login attempts

Some users may be experiencing login issues when trying to access Titan Connect.  If you receive an error saying too many login attempts have been made, close your prowser and wait a few minutes.  Launch your browser again and login.  In most cases you will be able to  access Titan Connect on the first try.  If not please repeat the steps. 

ITS is aware of the issue and monitoring the system .  Please check back here for any updates.

Blackboard Up but Slowness Issues - Related to the Library Power Outage

Please be advised that due to the power outage at the McNichols Campus Library, Blackboard resources hosted on the library servers which are stored in the library building are unavailable.  Blackboard will continue to function but, you may see slowness and icons showing missing images/documents.

 

Blackboard will return to full functionality after power has been restored to the building.

Library Connection to the University Network Down

Our management systems are reporting network access between the library and the rest of the University went down around 9:47 pm.  ITS will investigate this outage as soon as possible.

 

Access to research.udmercy.edu may not be available until service is restored.

 

 

Emgineering Building WIFI Sporadic Outages

WIFI on the 2nd and 3rd floors is operating in a sporadic fashion.  Network staff is working to resolve ASAP.

Sporadic error seen when accessing portal.office.com

We have received calls from some users that they are receiving the below error when trying to login to O365.  This issue seems to stem from Microsoft.  We have opened a ticket with Mcrosoft to report the issue.  Any updates recieved will be posted here on the blog.

Wireless Network Maintenance - October 19, 2017 at 3:00 am (tonight)

Please be advised, the McNichols wireless network will be temporarily unavailable while patches are applied starting at 3:00 am (tonight), October 19, 2017.  We anticipate WIFI will return to service around 6:00 am.  Updates will be provided on the ITS Outage Blog located at:  http://udm-its.blogspot.com/

 

3:00 am is generally a very quiet time on the McNichols WIFI network however, should you require network services please use a wired connection during this time period.

 

These maintenance patches are exclusive to the McNichols campus.  The Riverfront and Corktown campuses will not be affected by this effort.

Engineering Building WIFI - Unstable in a couple locations

ITS has been made aware and is working to stabilize the WIFI in a couple locations on the 2nd and 3rd floors of the Engineering building.  Access may go in and out when connected to certain access points within the building.

Resident Hall WIFI and Internet reported down

Internet service in the residence halls has been reported down.  ITS staff investigating.  Service still available within the Quad Commons lab and elsewhere across campus.

UPDATE: Hardware failure caused this outage. Problem is solved and service was restored at 6:30 p.m. Sorry for inconvenience.

Blackboard maintenance scheduled: Monday, October 9, starting at 7:30 am.

Blackboard software is due for maintenance and update. Software update will be performed in our standard maintenance window, Monday, October 9, starting at 7:30 am. This action will result in outage that should last no longer than 3 hours. Users are advised to close the Blackboard session and log out before 7:30 am on Monday to prevent possible loss of work.
