COMPLETED: Sites.udmercy.edu Maintenance - Saturday, December 7th 6 am to 11 am

Beginning at 6:00 am on Saturday 12/07/2019 and ending by 11:00 am,  http://sites.udmercy.edu will be migrated and reconfigured to use SSL encryption.  Downtime during this migration should not exceed 15 minutes in length at any time.  During the migration window, please refrain from editing  sites.  If there is a need to fall back due to problems in the migration, changes to the sites will be lost.

The upgrade to the core networking switch started at 5:00 am this morning.

Our Office 365 email system appears to be slow in delivering email.  We are working with Microsoft to improve delivery time.

Mail from @udmercy.edu to other @udmercy.edu appears to move through at normal speeds.

University-Wide Network Maintenance - Friday, November 29, 2019 - Early Morning Hours

Please be advised the ITS department will be upgrading our core network switch the Friday after Thanksgiving, November 29, 2019 in the early morning hours.

 

This effort will impact all campuses.

RESOLVED - Network Services Down in Various Locations

ITS is working with our primary Internet Service Provider to restore services as soon as possible.  Our ISP has identified an issue on their network that appears to be the source of the problem.

Users at Riverfront should be fine with all services.

Corktown users will not be able to reach the Internet but may be able to reach some services on the McNichols campus.

WIFI on McNichols and dorm connectivity should work fine.

Blackboard will essentially not function like it should.  Pages may display but the authentication will be problematic.

More detail as we have it available.

COMPLETED - VOIP Phone System Maintenance, Friday, November 8, 2019 at 2:00 AM

Please be advised ATT will be performing system maintenance on the University VOIP phone system across all three campuses and Liv 6 between 2:00 AM and 3:00 AM, Friday, November 8, 2019.  The phones will continue to operate during this time however, you may experience some sluggishness.  If you do, please hang up, wait a few minutes then dial again. 

The timing of this is set for very early morning hours so that it should have minimal impact across our University community.

RESOLVED - McNichols - Law Link

The fiber link between Law and McNichols is currently down.

The service provider is current working on a resolution to the issue and is estimating 6am 11/6/2019 for service to be restored.

This affects inter-campus services only. General internet access at Law is not affected.

Law resources that are available offsite will also be affected by this outage.

COMPLETED - Internet Maintenance Scheduled for Sunday, October 20, 2019 at 10:00 PM

Please be advised the University’s primary internet service provider will be performing maintenance this Sunday, October 20, 2019 at 10:00 PM on equipment that will temporarily take us offline.  The outage is expected to last two hours however, should the maintenance work complete earlier service will be restored at that time.

McNichols resident students will continue to be able to use the internet on campus during this outage.

WIFI users on the McNichols campus will be able to use the internet on campus as well.

Riverfront campus users will be able to use the internet from Riverfront as well.

Services including www.udmercy.edu, my.udmercy.edu, blackboard.udmercy.edu and others will be offline during this time.

University phones will remain online and available.

Enterprise systems will be offline starting Friday, September 27, 2019 at 12:00 PM for maintenance.
During this outage Office 365, Blackboard and other systems will continue to operate as they normally do.  The My Portal will remain online however the links to the services under maintenance will not function.

Please be advised Self-Service will be offline starting Friday, September 27, 2019 at 12:00 PM for maintenance.  This will be an extended outage and will likely run sometime into Sunday.  Should the maintenance effort complete earlier, Self-Service will be made available at that time.

During this outage Office 365, Blackboard and other systems will continue to operate as they normally do.  The My Portal will remain online however the Self-Service link will not function until maintenance has been completed.

COMPLETED : My Portal & Titan Pass Maintenance August 18, 2019 @ 6:30 am.

My Portal and the Titan Pass single sign-on systems will be offline for maintenance beginning at 6:30 am on Sunday August 18, 2019.  This maintenance window is expected to last until approximately 9:30 am.

During this time, login to My Portal and other solutions that use the Titan Pass single sign-on will not be possible.

Blakboard Hosted Services - Update - April 19, 2019 2:00 AM to 7:00 AM


On Friday, April 19, 2019 between the hours of 2:00 AM - 7 AM EDT / 6:00 AM UTC - 11:00 AM UTC, Blackboard will be performing service impacting maintenance replacing firewall devices to increase capacity.

During this maintenance, Blackboard will be replacing firewall devices to increase capacity. Please take note that this is a service impacting maintenance occurring on a Friday which requires your servers hosted at VA3 to be offline during the maintenance period. While we strive to keep the time offline to a minimum, it may last throughout the maintenance period. Kindly inform your faculty and students to expect a service interruption during this maintenance window.
