Title: Restored users from Azure Active Directory (AAD) can't access OneDrive for Business
User Impact: Users may have been unable to access OneDrive for Business.
More info: Restored users from AAD may have seen an error indicating "User not in directory".
Impact was specific to previously soft-deleted users who were restored in AAD from Monday, May 18, 2020, to Thursday, May 28, 2020.
Final status: We developed and deployed a fix to resolve the problem and confirmed that the issue is remediated. Throughout the duration of this event, admins may have noticed an associated communication appear in the "History" section of the Service Health Dashboard (SHD) detailing a more precise event timeline as dictated by our deployment strategy for their respective organizations. The title of the alternate SHD communication follows the same title format of this event ("Restored users from AAD can't access OneDrive for Business").
Scope of impact: This issue may impact previously soft-deleted users that were restored from AAD from Monday, May 18, 2020, to Thursday, May 28, 2020.

Root cause: A recent update introduced a code regression that was preventing restored users from accessing OneDrive for Business.
