Title: Some users not receiving incoming Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) calls via direct routing
User Impact: Users were intermittently unable to receive direct routing PSTN calls.
More info: The incoming calls failed to connect.
Final status: While monitoring service health, we identified that impact associated with TM218762 had reoccurred. We investigated the issue and determined that a subset of infrastructure that facilitates incoming PSTN calls via direct routing was operating below expected thresholds, resulting in impact. While we were working to identify remediation steps, system monitoring indicated that the service had returned to normal health. We've confirmed that impact has been remediated.
Scope of impact: Any user hosted on the impacted infrastructure receiving PSTN calls via direct routing may have experienced intermittent impact.
Start time: Friday, July 17, 2020, at 6:10 PM UTC
End time: Friday, July 17, 2020, at 7:15 PM UTC
Root cause: A subset of infrastructure that facilitates incoming PSTN calls via direct routing was operating below expected thresholds, resulting in impact.
Next steps:
-We're continuing to monitor the affected environment to ensure the issue does not recur.
- We're reviewing the impacted infrastructure to isolate the root of this issue and develop a permanent resolution.
This is the final update for the event.
