TitanConnect Down

TitanConnect went down around 3:00 pm today during planning for next week’s training.  The staff are working to resolve the matter and return it to service as quickly as possible.  All data is fine; the application server is where the difficulty is being experienced.

Yahoo Mail

All mail service to Yahoo has been temporally suspended by Yahoo. For an unknown reason, Yahoo has blocked or email servers from their systems. ITS staff is working to have the block removed by Yahoo.

E-Mail Issue

Internet incoming e-mail appears to be down as of about 5:15 am.  Messages are queuing.  Due to University holiday no one on-site at this time but in the process of tracking staff down to address.

Internet connection fully up 03/20/08 9:00 a.m.

Internet connections are back to normal, work with full capacity and speed.

Weblink Up - Usage is very high so please be patient

Weblink is running. The usage remains very high so please be patient when establishing a session. Allow the system time to respond before breaking out and trying again as this leaves an "orphaned" session and only adds to the wait time. Thank you, ITS department.

Internet connection slow 03/20/08 7:30 a.m.

Merit, our ISP is having troubles with Internet access efficiency. Internet is accessible, but you may experience long delays in response.

Weblink Operational - but usage remains heavy

Weblink having problems - working to correct

Weblink is having problems due to the volume of users. ITS is working to correct this.

Apecs and Weblink Environment Back - Printing Restored

The problem preventing Apecs printing has been corrected. As a result, the weblink application is now running much better. Sorry for the inconvenience, ITS Department.

There was a run-away Dargal report running that was consuming the mainframe CPU. This has been corrected and weblink is available again. ITS Dept.

Network Issue Stabilization

The network connectivity problems from last week have temporarily been resolved by reverting back to the original wireless bridge to the Internet.  After the Easter holiday, another attempt will be made to move to the repaired and permanent higher speed wireless bridge.

Weblink Up at 8:32 AM - Slow due to number of users

Weblink is now available - it is running slow however due to the number of users that are signed in. You may wish to try later during the day. ITS Department.

Issue is fairly significant. Calling in installer for emergency repairs.

Network Issue

There appears to be a problem with the network and we are working to resolve it as quickly as possible. The problem appears to be at one of our relay points which stands between UDM and the Internet.

Weblink Time Set Incorrectly - Fixed

The Weblink server had an incorrect time setting this morning as a result of a time adjustment service running in the background. This has been corrected. During the time that this was incorrect, Weblink was reporting that the service is only available from 7:15 AM to 10 PM even though it was 8 AM. This problem should not occur again as the service has been disabled and the time set appropriately. ITS Staff

SPAM

We have been dealing with some issues with our SPAM solution.  The vendor is working to address this matter.  Please feel free to forward all spam to spam@mailborder.udmercy.edu to report it.

Issue with Regional Network Connection

Per Merit, “We are currently experiencing a service issue within the Merit Regional Network. The exact cause and scope are unknown at the present time.” ITS is monitoring the situation.

Incoming messages were temporarily delayed due to a lock up on the SPAM solution.  This has been resolved and all queued mail is processing through.
