Dorms Internet access short outage - Friday 8:00 a.m. - RESOLVED



Due to replacing one faulty piece of hardware, network service to Dorms and related Wireless services were taken off-line at 8:00 a.m., Friday, May 23 resulting in service outage of 30 minutes. All services are restored to normal operation.
Please use http://helpdesk.udmercy.edu to report irregularities in Network / Internet service.

Blackboard software patches installation – Monday, May 26 at 7:30 a.m.



Due to necessary patch installation, Blackboard service won’t be available on Monday, May 26, starting at 7:30. This service outage should not take longer than 1 hour. If you are using Blackboard Monday morning, please make sure to close your session and log out before 7:30 a.m. to prevent possible data loss.

Network connectivity restored between Corktown/Dental and McNichols

Connectivity has been restored between the Corktown campus and the McNichols campus.  All shares and services are now available.

Corktown/Dental School - Network Connectivity Issues

We are currently experiencing network connectivity issues between the Corktown./Dental School campus and McNichols.  Due to this unavailability, you may not be able to access your Home drive or other network based applications.

IT Services Related to the 5/7/14 McNichols DTE Scheduled Power Outage

Due to the scheduled DTE power outage scheduled for early tomorrow morning, various IT services will be unavailable starting as early as 5:00 pm today.

 

Blackboard and TitanConnect will come offline sometime after midnight.

 

Once ITS is re-energized with power (estimated to be 7:30 am), services will be brought back online.  Critical services will be brought up as quickly as possible and it may take some services up to 4 hours to be brought back fully online.

VOICEMAIL

Because of the scheduled power outage slated to occur at 5:00am Wednesday May 7 we will be powering down the Voicemail Server at approximately 10:00pm tonight(Tuesday).  Barring any unforseen circumstances it should be up and running by the start of the day tomorrow.  Sorry for any inconvenience.

Due to the power outage, EMAS is currently unavailable.  We have no ETA at this time.

Power outage - McNichols Campus - UPDATED

Due to a power outage the McNichols Campus is without power.  This is effecting all Network connectivity; TitanNet, TitanConnect, email, voicemail and those off campus trying to access these services. We will have temporary power shortly but DTE will not have us fully operational for several hours.

UPDATE: 5/6/14 - Most services are now back online, however we are currently being powered by generators.  No ETA from DTE is available at this time.
