Power has been restored to the Student Union Building.

Several channels on the UDM cable TV system are currently showing an error message from our provider.  ITS is aware of the situation and is currently working on a solution.

UDM Cable TV Outage - Student Center Power Outage - *** CANCELLED ***

To confirm the obvious, with the cancellation of the planned outage tomorrow morning, cable TV service will remain only and available for your viewing pleasure.




UDM Cable TV Outage - Student Center Power Outage

Please be advised that due to the scheduled temporary power outage for the Student Center building tomorrow, Saturday, September 13, 2014 from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm, University cable TV service will be unavailable during this time.  The satellite dishes which feed the University’s cable TV system are located on the roof of the Student Center and require power.


Also, the ITS Computer Lab in the Student Center basement will be closed until the power outage is complete.


Once power is restored, cable TV service and the ITS Computer Lab will be available.

Student Center - WIFI and Internet Down

All network and internet access for the student center building is down due to a fiber splice within the building.  ITS Networking staff are working to bring this back online as quickly as possible.


The lack of network access also means the ID card office is unable to produce ID cards at this time.

Blackboard maintenance scheduled – Monday, September 8 at 7:30 a.m.

Blackboard service will be turned down on Monday, September 8, at 7:30 a.m. for maintenance work. Expected service outage is estimated to 1 hour.

Please don’t plan on using Blackboard between 7:30 and 8:30 a.m. on Monday. Close your session and log out before 7:30 a.m. to prevent possible data loss.

Discoverer Upgrade

The update of Discoverer has successfully been completed

ITS will be taking Discoverer offline at 5:00 p.m. today to deploy the latest version of Discoverer on a new server.  The service could be unavailable for as long as 4 hours.  This time was chosen to be the least disruptive to normal business needs.
