Blackboard software maintenance - Monday, June 3, 7:30 a.m.

Blackboard software maintenance is scheduled for the next regular maintenance window, Monday, June 3, starting at 7:30 a.m. Work planned requires system to go off-line. Expected downtime is up to 30 minutes.

If you are using Blackboard Monday morning, please close your session and log out before 7:30 a.m. to avoid possible loss of data.

Sunday May 19th Maintenance Complete

Users who have been accessing TitanConnectINB with a separate link should return to using the link from within the TitanConnect portal.

The university will be implementing new servers for some Enterprise systems this coming weekend.

Systems downtime is scheduled for Sunday, May 19, 2013 from approximately 7:00 a.m. - Noon.

The services affected will be:
  • E-mail
  • TitanConnect Portal
  • TitanConnect INB
  • TitanConnect Self Service
  • TitanConnect Groups/Calendars
The ODS/Discoverer and Knowledge/Blackboard will still be available, but must be accessed through direct links rather than through the Portal.

During this time any email sent to an address will be queued and delivered as soon as the systems are brought back on-line.

Internet access at all campuses will remain online and available, however access to the services listed above will not be available.

Once the systems are brought back on-line, the Users who have been accessing TitanConnect INB with a separate link should return to using the link from the TitanConnect Portal.

Your patience during this outage will be most appreciated and we will update this blog when the implementation is complete.

ITS-Enterprise Services

Update : 9:40 a.m.  Maintenance is ahead of schedule.  Services have been restored for testing.  Please be aware that services are not fully production ready and may go offline again.
Update : 7:00 a.m.  Maintenance has started.

Cascade Upgrade - May 15, 2013

Cascade services will be unavailable beginning at 6:00 a.m. on Wednesday May 15th while the system is upgraded. We expect Cascade services to be restored by 4:00 p.m. May 15th. Please check the blog for updates during the upgrade.

Update :  8:00 a.m. May 15, The upgrade is in progress.
Update :  1:40 pm.m May 15,  MPA and ITS are performing release testing prior to public release.

Blackboard service available - 05/13 at 8:45 a.m.

Planned system software upgrade is successfully performed and Blackboard service is available and open for users.

Dorms Internet access short interruption - resolved - May 8, 12:40 p.m.

Network equipment failure caused outage in Dorms Internet service, duration 20 minutes. University network access was not affected during this outage.

Blackboard software upgrade – Mon. May 13, 7:30 – 11:00 a.m.

We plan on upgrading Blackboard software starting in our regular maintenance window, Monday, May 13 at 7:30 a.m. This software upgrade includes upgrade of several components to bring our Blackboard service up-to-date. As always, we will make service online as soon as work is done, but, please, don’t plan using Blackboard before 11:00 a.m.; check this blog for possible updates and announcement of availability. If you are using Blackboard on Monday morning, please close your session and log out of Blackboard before 7:30 a.m. to avoid possible loss of data.
