Many users are reporting an email from the University has arrived within their email stating they are over their limit for email storage.  THIS IS SPAM.  DO NOT CLICK ON THE PROVIDED LINK.

Mark the email as Junk/Spam and then delete.

TitanConnect Portal & Email Maintenance, Wednesday, November 27, 6:00 AM : COMPLETED

Please be advised that starting at 6:00 AM on Wednesday, November 27, 2013 (the day before Thanksgiving) the ITS department will be performing maintenance to the TitanConnect Portal and Email system.  Blackboard, WWW and all other systems will remain online and available during this outage.

All incoming email will be queued and delivered once the system is available.  (Exchange users will be unaffected by this temporary outage.)

We anticipate the work to be completed by 7:00 AM.

UPDATE : 6:45 am - All services have been restored.

Network Access Issues due to Wind Storm

As a result of the wind storm, there may be periodic outages experienced preventing access to various University IT services.  ITS is monitoring the situation closely and will work to restore outages as quickly as possible.

ITS Server Maintenance Window 7:00 pm, Saturday, November 16, 2013 : COMPLETED

The ITS department will be performing some maintenance work on several servers starting at 7:00 pm, Saturday, November 16, 2013. 

You will be happy to know that TitanConnect, INB, SSB, Blackboard, Exchange and the primary WWW site will remain online and available during this maintenance window.

Servers hosting college specific websites, TitanNet, Course Evaluations, Cascade, blogs, audio and video streaming will be down for 2 to 3 hours.

Updates pertaining to the outage will be posted on the ITS Outage blog located at http://udm-its.blogspot.com.

We apologize in advance for this outage of these services.

Dental Website Down (Internally only)

The dental website has been reported down from within the Dental campus but remains online and available from McNichols and off-site locations.

Update on ODS Refresh

The Refresh processes for the Operational Data Store (ODS) are currently running.  Student Accounting and Financial Aid are now up-to-date and Finance is close (except for Detail transactions). Admissions and Student will be next.  The processes have been running for about 3 hours and will likely take another 3 hours to complete.

The normal daily refresh will be scheduled to run tonight (actually 2:00 a.m. tomorrow) and the entire ODS should be up-to-date by tomorrow morning.

Verizon - E-mail delivery problem *** Problem solved ***

Verizon is rejecting e-mail sent from University E-mail system at this time. ITS is working to re-establish e-mail delivery to Verizon accounts.

Due to a large volume of spam messages the university email is offline. ITS staff is currently working to clear the backlog and will bring email back online as soon as possible.

The Refresh process for the Operational Data Store (ODS) is currently not running.  This means that the reporting data is out-of-date.  If you need to have more current information than is available through the ODS/Discoverer, please submit a Help Desk request - http://helpdesk.udmercy.edu/ with the details of the data needed.

McNichols WIFI Restart Tonight

Throughout the evening, wireless access points on the McNichols campus will be rebooted to apply new settings to the configuration.  The new settings are being put in place to address the inability of certain devices to hold a connection to the WIFI network.  The reboots only take about a minute per device.  Most client devices will auto-switch to another access point while the one that they were on is resetarting.

TitanConnect Reporting Server Downtime

Our reporting server, the ODS/Discoverer, will be offline tomorrow from approximately 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. for a necessary system upgrade.

The ODS/Discoverer service will not be available for running reports during this time.

This is the ONLY service that will not be available.  All other TitanConnect, E-mail, Blackboard, etc. services will be available during this time.


C & F Network

Network services and Internet are currently unavailable on the first floor of the C & F building.

The network team is currently in route and will investigate the issue.
