Potential Problem with Respondus Monitor - Wednesday 11/25

A note from our partner, IDS.

It looks like Amazon Web Services (AWS), a service that provides the backbone for many web services, including Blackboard and Respondus Monitor, started experiencing an outage around 9 this morning and extending into the afternoon.

While I'm glad to report this hasn't 100% prevented folks from using our online services, IDS is seeing a slight increase in reports of issues using Respondus Monitor in particular.

Amazon is working on this issue and hopefully will have full service restored soon.

We apologize for this inconvenience and appreciate your patience.

During this period of time neither Banner Self-Service, Argos nor Banner Application Navigator will be available.  You will still be able to log into the my.udmercy.edu portal to access other features.

You will also maintain access to all other systems including Blackboard, O365, Teams, Helpdesk, www, RDP, Cascade, Raiser’s Edge, Slate, PeopleAdmin, COVID App, COVID Travel App and many more systems.

Updates that originate from Banner to Blackboard, the ID Card system and other systems will be temporarily halted during this time as well and will resume Sunday.

Your patience during this time will be most appreciated.

ITS will provide regular updates on progress utilizing our https://udm-its.blogspot.com outage blog (which celebrates 15 years of existence next month).

UPDATE: There remains two open issues: clearinghouse and degree audit are being worked on and are not available yet. Work continues and the services will be available as soon as possible.
