TitanConnect Self Service Connection

The TitanConnect Self Service connection was receiving "Page Not Found" errors from the TitanConnect Portal link this morning. This has now been corrected, but there may be some lingering issues.

1. If you are still logged into the TitanConnect Portal, just clicking on the link for TitanConnect Self Service may give you a signon screen that asks for a UserID and PIN. You can enter your "T" (T in CAPS) number or your E-mail account ID (all CAPS) and PIN (birthdate = mmddyy)


2. Logout of the TitanConnect Portal and then Log back in. Clicking on the link may then flash the TitanConnect Self Service page and then give you a "Page Not Found". Exit that window and try again. If that doesn't work Logout and start over again.

Exchange Email Outage (Closed issue)

Today around 1:00 pm one of the Exchange mail store had dis-mount error resulting in certain Exchange users unable to connect to the Exchange server to send or receive email. This was corrected at 3:00pm. Once the mail store was remounted email begin to move freely. No mail was lost during the downtime.

Blackboard service restart scheduled for Monday, 11/28 at 7:30 a.m.

Blackboard service restart is required to activate software patch. This action is scheduled for regular service window, Monday 11/28. Service is going to be restarted at 7:30 a.m. causing short outage of Blackboard operation. While this whole operation should not take more than a few minutes, users are still advised to log out at that time.

Internet Connectivity Unstable

The internet connection and connections to Law and Dental campuses appears to be unstable at the moment.  ITS is working to clear up the issue and return services to normal stable operations.

Corktown Internet Restored

We've resolved the Corktown Campus issue where some people could not get to the internet. Everything should be fully-functional at this point, so please report any new or lingering issues to the Helpdesk. (313) 993-1500

TitanNet G & H Drives and Access at Corktown

Due to a power outage on the Corktown campus, many TitanNet G & H drives may not be reachable.  As you may know, even though users access from the McNichols and Law campuses the majority of stored files are physically situated on a server at the Corktown campus.  In addition, access to TitanNet from the Corktown campus will naturally be down while the power to the server is not available.

Brief Blackboard outage 11/08 2:15 p.m.

Early in the life of the new Blackboard software version, one issue was discovered that could have seriously inconvenience Blackboard users. Software patch required Blackboard software restart, which caused couple of minutes service outage in serving users.
We are sorry if this interruption caused any inconvenience; importance of this action forced us to do it immediately and without advance notice.

Raiser's Edge Server Failure

Late this afternoon our Raiser's Edge server had a hardware failure. Parts will be in tomorrow morning (THURS 11/3). We will rebuild the server and restore the data as quickly as possible, but we're likely looking at some time Friday before the server (and Raiser's Edge) is functional again.

We learned late Thursday that one of the replacement parts was defective, and another has been ordered. We will be installing it when it arrives Friday mid-morning. Raiser's Edge will not be available until early next week.

Blackboard upgrade scheduled Mon. 11/07 7:30 a.m.

Blackboard software is scheduled for a major upgrade in the next service window, Monday Nov. 7 starting at 7:30 a.m. This software upgrade should fix number of issues encountered in the system software that is used now. Due to volume of work involving this upgrade please don't plan on using Blackboard service between 7:30 and 9:30 a.m. Finish your work and log out before 7:30 a.m. to avoid possible loss of data. Please check this blog for updates and information on Blackboard service availability.

TitanConnect email services(webclient, imap and pop3) will be offline for intermittent periods of time between 6:15 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 2nd for maintenance. Please watch this blogs for updates.

Update : 6:50 a.m. Wednesday, November 2nd. Maintenance has been completed all mail services are back online.
