Dorm Internet Temporarily Down for 5 minutes

The Dorm Internet was temporarily down for five minutes at 5:15 pm to reset one of the servers. Service was back online within 5 minutes.-

APECS brought back online

The UNISYS system crashed resulting in APECS going down. APECS has been brought back online and is once again available. Thank you, ITS Dept.

McAuley Clinic circuit problem ***RESOLVED

We have been monitoring the MCAuley Clinic's network connection, and there appears to be a problem with the T1 circuit. A service call has been made to the provider. They are currently testing and we'll update this blog as we hear back from them.

The circuit provider found some faulty hardware and repaired it. The circuit has been up since about 2:00PM. We will continue to monitor it, but this location should be fully restored.

LAW campus network connectivity down **UPDATED

There is a definite problem with Law School's connectivity to the rest of the university's network and to the internet. We are in the initial stages of tracking the problem and have no estimate for resolution yet.

We have been told that some electrical work is being done, and it means that our network equipment will be down until 4:00pm - 4:30pm. We will monitor the network, and if connectivity is not restored around that time, we will update this blog.

Internet Connectivity Restored

Our ISP has resolved the connectivity issue.

Update: Merit networks is aware of the outage and has isolated the problem. They are working to resolve the issue but do not currently have an eta.

INB and SSB for TEST are operational again

The TEST database had a problem with a redo log. This has been corrected and INB and SSB are operational once again. Thank you, ITS Dept

Apecs discovered offline at 2:20 PM 8.24.11; Brought back online

The mainframe rebooted itself again and APECS was discovered in a down status at 2:20 PM. This has been corrected, ITS Dept.

TitanConnect Portal Maintenance Scheduled for Thursday, August 25th at 7:00 a.m.

Beginning at 7:00 a.m. and lasting until approximately 7:30 a.m. all services provided by the TitanConnect(http://tc.udmercy.edu) portal will experience service disruptions lasting up to 5 minutes in length as we apply critical updates. Please check this blog for updates.

Test Application Server (INB/SSB) for PPRD and TEST online

The test application server which allows connections to Banner INB and SSB for TEST and PPRD has been brought back online. Thank you, ITS Dept.

Test Application Server Not Responding

The Banner TEST application server (for PPRD and TEST) is currently stating that it is disconnected from the network or not available. ITS is looking into this problem. Thank you, ITS Dept.

Apecs Service Online

The Apecs service is online again. The mainframe did a self-shutdown sometime this weekend. It appears to be heat related. Thank you, ITS Dept.
