Title: Any user may experience timeouts when joining conferences calls via PSTN

User Impact: Any user may have experienced timeouts when joining conferences calls via Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN).

More info: Users may have experienced a delay of up to 15 seconds before being unable to join a conference in Microsoft Teams.

Final status: We've determined that a portion of infrastructure facilitating Microsoft Teams conference calls via PSTN had become unhealthy. We restarted the affected infrastructure and confirmed impact remediation after monitoring the service.

Scope of impact: Your organization was affected by this event, and impact was specific to approximately 2% of users served through the affected infrastructure.

Start time: Monday, August 31, 2020, at 2:00 AM UTC

End time: Monday, August 31, 2020, at 3:00 PM UTC

Root cause: A portion of infrastructure facilitating Microsoft Teams conference calls via PSTN had become unhealthy.

Next steps:

-We're monitoring the affected environment to ensure impact does not reoccur and are reviewing our monitoring services to look for ways to reduce detection time and more quickly restore service.

Final status: While we were in the process of reviewing error logs from affected machines to identify potential sources of impact, system monitoring indicated that the service had returned to normal health. User Impact: Users are unable to return to online mode in Microsoft Teams after entering into offline mode.

More info: Affected users will see the message banner indicating that they are in offline mode. Users may have entered into an offline state due to a network connectivity issue or by manually selecting to enter offline mode.

Current status: We've determined that a recent update has introduced an issue in which users that have entered into offline mode in Microsoft Teams are unable to return to online mode. We're partially reverting the problematic update in parallel with developing a fix for this issue. We'll provide a timeline to mitigation once available.

Scope of impact: Your organization is affected by this event, and this could impact any of your users that have entered into offline mode.

Root cause: A recent update has introduced an issue in which users that have entered into offline mode in Microsoft Teams are unable to return to online mode.
