Power Outage - Voice Mail Down - 8/24/13 8:00 am to 6:00 pm

Please be advised that due to the Facilities scheduled power outage of Lansing Reilly occurring on Saturday, August 24, 2013, the voice-mail system will be down during this time.  Once power is back online, access to the voice-mail system will be restored.

 

Call to your phone number will simply continue to ring with an answer.

TitanConnect Email Maintenance Scheduled - Friday August 23, 2013

Please be advised ITS will be performing maintenance to the TitanConnect email system (and only the email system) starting at 6:30 am and running to 8:00 am, tomorrow, Friday, August 23, 2013.  The only feature that will NOT be available will be email.  Users may continue to log into the portal during this time and do everything else they wish including registering for Term I, checking out their schedule, updating their address and all other features available within self-service.

As always, ITS will keep you posted on the progress of this effort on our full disclosure outage blog located at http://udm-its.blogspot.com.  Should the work be completed in advance of 8:00 am, ITS will return email back into service at that earlier time.

Update : 7:15 a.m. Maintenance has been completed.  All services restored.

Blackboard not accepting log-ins - Aug 21 1:00 p.m.

Blackboard service refused accepting new users today; restart of the services cleared the situation and Blackboard is working in normal fashion now. ITS is reviewing logs and system configuration to do corrective action and prevent this problem from reoccurring.
We apologize for inconvenience caused by this incident.

Short Blackboard service outage - Aug 20 08:30 a.m.

Blackboard service became unresponsive and restart of the services was indicated. This caused short outage in Blackboard service. Most of the users are able to pick-up and continue from the moment of interruption.

Underlying cause for the glitch is identified and ITS is going to take corrective action. We apologize for the inconvenience this outage may have caused.

Shiple 4th Floor WIFI Down

WIFI is temporarily down on the 4th floor of Shiple and will be brought back online sometime Monday.

MCN Library Down

Our notification system is reporting the Library building network connection as being down.  We have reached out to the network team for confirmation as to whether the issue is in the library or a network issue.

Blackboard service available - Aug 15 at 09:00 a.m.

ITS concluded migration of Blackboard system to the new hardware, and software maintenance at this point. Blackboard services are available. Blackboard software upgrade, performed during this operation, introduced some new functionality and may have slight appearance changes in certain areas.

New hardware platform should improve performance of the Blackboard system and provide additional capacity to cover projected future needs.
 
As usual, problems related to Blackboard services should be reported to IDS or submitted as an incident in our Help Desk ticket system. Always collect all the relevant information (time of incident, possible error messages, steps that lead to the problem) when you report problem with Blackboard system.

Blackboard Maintenance Upgrade Aug 13-16, 2013

We are pleased to announce the University’s Blackboard servers will be upgraded next week.  To accomplish this upgrade, Blackboard services will be brought offline on Tuesday, August 13th at 3:00 pm and are expected to remain offline until Friday, August 16th at 4:30 pm.  Should the upgrade effort be completed in advance, Blackboard will be made available at that time.

Services have been restored. However, it may take several hours to clear the backlog of email in the servers queue.

TitanConnect Email and INB Down for Maintenance, Portal Remains Up



Please be advised the TitanConnect email system and INB environments will be down starting at 6:30 am while maintenance is performed.  We apologize for the short notice.

We anticipate a return to service around 8:30 am.

During this period of time, all incoming email will be queued and delivered once service has been restored.

During this period of time you will be able to log into the TitanConnect portal however links to email and INB will not function.
