*UPDATE* Blackboard - maintenance scheduled for Monday, 07/25 07:30 a.m.

Blackboard software requires a patch to fix a minor issue. Applying this patch is including Blackboard services restart, which will be performed on Monday 07/25 at 7:30 a.m. All users are advised to close the Blackboard session to prevent possible loss of work.
Expected time out of service is up to 30 minutes. Please check this blog for updates.


*** UPDATE ***
Volume of the maintenance work planned for Monday has increased and service outage may extend to up to 90 minutes. Sorry for the inconvenience.

It looks like another possible limited POWER PROBLEM is now affecting most if not all of Law School's computer networking. We are working on this issue now.


We swapped out a piece of bad hardware and all systems returned to normal by 11:00am.

Law Clinic power outage *RESOLVED

Due to cut power to a vital network closet, the Law Clinic does not have network or internet connectivity at this time. Chris Congdon is working with the construction companies to determine how long this outage will be.

This blog will be updated when we learn more.

Power has been restored, and all equipment is back online. All network connectivity should be back, so please report any new or lingering issues to the Helpdesk @ 993-1500.

TitanConnect INB Service Interruption

ITS is investigating an outage of INB service.
A system storage device (disk) was full. This has been corrected and service available.
UPDATE 2:15 p.m. : Service has been restored.

Blackboard - Certain Courses unavailable

Due to changes in Blackboard software, automated procedure, which populates Blackboard courses, turned certain number of courses to unavailable. IDS (313)578-0580 is in process of collecting data and making these courses available. ITS has applied necessary changes to the automated process of creating and maintaining courses, to prevent this type of incident in future.

Please check with IDS if the course, you need access to, still shows as unavailable.

TitanConnect Email Maintenance Complete

The scheduled maintenance has been completed and all TitanConnect mail services are now operational.

TitanConnect Email Maintenance - 07/12/2011

Email services will be unavailable from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday July 12th for necessary maintenance. Users are strongly advised to close a session and log out to avoid possibly losing some or all of the work. This maintenance will not affect Exchange email users.

Blackboard software upgrade - 07/11 at 7:30 a.m.

Blackboard system will be taken off-line for important Blackboard software upgrade. This upgrade is to be done in our standard maintenance window, Monday, July 11 starting at 7:30 a.m. Users are strongly advised to close a session and log out to avoid possibly losing some or all of the work.
Time needed to perform this upgrade is up to 1 hour and Blackboard system should be available by 8:30 a.m.
