Blackboard service outage 02/23 8:30 p.m. solved

Due to glitch in the system, Blackboard users experienced short outage in Blackboard services. Cause of the problem is found and resolved, and by 8:50 p.m. the Blackboard service is restored in full. We sorry for the inconvenience this outage caused the users of the system at this time.

System maintenance scheduled for Monday morning is still in power for system update with important security update.


Blackboard maintenance scheduled for Monday 02/28 at 7:30 a.m.

Blackboard service will be turned off-line in regular maintenance window for installation of important security patch. Blackboard service is going to be unavailable starting at 7:30 a.m. on Monday, 02/28. Expected outage is up to 1 hour. Please close your work and log out of Blackboard prior to 7:30 a.m. to prevent possible loss of data. Check this blog for updates on status of this action.

TitanConnect Maintenance - Advance Notice - Scheduled for March 7, 2011 @ 5:30 pm

On Monday, March 7, 2011 (the first business day of the spring break week), ITS will be taking down the TitanConnect Portal and E-mail for 30 minutes to apply patches.  During this short outage, incoming e-mail will be queued.

Blackboard maintenance scheduled for 02/21 7:30 a.m. - 8:30 a.m.

Blackboard software needs to have a patch installed, which requires restart of Blackboard services resulting in system availability outage on Monday, 02/21. Service will be taken offline at 7:30 a.m.; expected downtime is up to 1 hour. All users are advised to close the Blackboard session and log out before system going offline to prevent possible loss of data.

East Quad Reported Down

Connectivity in East Quad appears to be down.  WIFI users may pick up signal bleed from other close by buildings.  Will be addressed as soon as possible and at the latest, Monday morning.

Corktown Connectivity - Update

The antenna move at the Corktown Campus is complete. Access to all off campus services, including the Internet and UHC, has been restored.

Corktown Connectivity Down Today due to Antenna Move

The previously scheduled antenna move will be taking place today and this will limit access on the Corktown campus to services only available from within the Corktown campus.  Internet access will be down for an estimated 8 hours while the work is completed.

**RESOLVED**Some McNichols H: drives not accessible

There are some issues with H: drives and G: drives on McNichols campus not being available. We are going to restart some services immediately to try to resolve. We will update this report accordingly.

TitanConnect does not accept connections 02/07 7:00 p.m.

It appears that TitanConnect is not accepting web connections. ITS is working to solve this issue. We hope that we will able to restore TC service soon.

Blackboard Upgrade Scheduled - Monday 02/14 7:30 a.m.

To resolve some of reported issues, Blackboard server will undergo software upgrade on Monday, 02/14 at 7:30 a.m. Expected downtime in order to perform this task is 1 hour; please make sure that you don't plan any activity for that period. If you are using Blackboard, please make sure to close all the work and log out Blackboard before 7:30 a.m. Monday 02/14 to avoid possible loss.

Shiple Work - Dorm Network Inactive for a short period of time

Just a reminder that we anticipate a short-outage in the dorm while the electrician’s take care of some network closet work.  Should this go long, it may impact all UDM internet traffic both in and out.
