AOL Email Issue - Update

The delivery issue between UDM Email and AOL has been resolved. Any email that was delayed should be sent to AOL over the next few hours.

University email to AOL email accounts is currently experiencing issues with delivery. ITS staff has been notified and are currently working on a solution to the problem.

Engineering Bulding Network/Internet down 04/21 - UPDATE

The hardware failure causing the network outage in the Engineering building has been temporally fixed and access has been restored. A permanent fix will occur this evening after 5:00pm, causing a brief outage.

ITS Computing Labs for Easter Weekend

In observance of Easter, all ITS labs will be closed Good Friday, Holy Saturday and Easter Sunday.


Normal hours of operation will resume on Monday, April 25, 2011.



Engineering Bulding Network/Internet down 04/21 7:30 a.m.

Engineering computer network is disconnected from the rest of the UDM network and has no access to Internet due to hardware failure. Problem is isolated and it will be solved by replacing defective part. Expected time we hope to restore network services to Engineering building is 10 a.m. - please check this blog for updates.

We sorry for the inconvenience this problem causes to users.


Engineering Network Connectivity Reported Down

Our network monitoring tools show the Engineering network down as of 3:30 am.  We have staff looking into the situation and will be working to restore service as soon as possible.

Outbound Email Throttled

The mail domain appears to have been throttled by Comcast and Rogers. This issue has been resolved and any email that was sent to Comcast or Rogers email accounts that have been delayed should be delivered over the next few hours.

Voicemail Status 4-18-11

The Voicemail System has experienced significant corruption and is currently still unusable. There is considerable work to be done to get us operational again. We have a service contract and representatives/technicians from that company are currently en route from out of state with software and solutions to get us up and running again. Currently we have no estimate of down-time, but be assured that we are working with the mentality of Emergency/Priority/ASAP.

Voicemail System Down 4-15-11

During a routine Voicemail maintenance procedure a problem occurred and the Voicemail System is currently not operational. We do have a Maintenance Contract and the company that services our system is working hard to correct the issue.

Blackboard services restart 04/04 7:35 a.m.

Blackboard service was restarted at 7:35 a.m., for regular maintenance cycle, which resulted in short service outage. We apologize for this unannounced restart and possible inconvenience that this caused to users.
