Legacy TC portal reported down.  While IT staff work on this, please know you can reach everything you need by using the new portal:  my.udmercy.edu

My is a bit more browser and mobile friendly.

Internet Down - Resolved

Internet service is down.  We are working with our service provider to re-establish service as quickly as possible.  Connections from off-campus to on-campus services will not function.  Connections from on-campus to off-campus services will not function.

Connections from off-campus to hosted solutions such as email will work.

As mentioned several times in prior email communications, the University is transitioning to a new version of Blackboard.  This process is expected to take until 12/24/18 to complete.  Updates on the progress will be shared on this blog.

We appreciate your patience as we have limped the existing Blackboard to its finish line after a series of system crashes.

On Monday, December 3, 2018 at 8:30 am ET, ITS migrated Blackboard's authentication method to your new Titan Pass credentials.  

You can confirm your Titan Pass password by going to https://my.udmercy.edu. If you have not set or do not remember your password, you may use the "forgot password" link on that page. Your username (e.g., freshmjw) will remain the same.

TitanConnect Portal *Resolved*

The TitanConnect website is currently experiencing an outage.  Please instead use the University's new portal system at https://my.udmercy.edu

For those who have yet to claim their Titan Pass credentials, your Titan Pass user code is your username (i.e. doej) and your password may be obtained by going to https://my.udmercy.edu and clicking on the “Forgot Password” link or "Activate Account" link.  Titan Pass will send to your University email account a link to establish your Titan Pass password. 

Note:  your user name does NOT include the @udmercy.edu portion of your email address.  If you forget your password, you can always return to this screen and use the “forgot password” option.

Update, 9:54 a.m. — TitanConnect is down due to a hardware failure. The hardware vendor has been notified.

Update, 2:15 p.m. — A Field Engineer from the hardware vendor has been dispatched. Replacement parts for the failed hardware are expected to arrive by approximately 9:00 p.m. tonight. We will continue to update this post.

Update, 9:40 p.m. — TitanConnect is back online.

Blackboard Outage *Resolved*

Just a quick reminder as announced via email and on the Blackboard announcement section that the system will be transitioned to authenticate using your Titan Pass credentials.  The system will be down from 8:00 am and will be back online at 8:30 am.

If you have not already claimed your Titan Pass credentials, go to my.udmercy.edu and click on the Authenticate Account option.  Enter your user name and an email will be sent to your Office 365 email account which will allow you to set your password.

You can then go back to blackboard.udmercy.edu or access it via login to the my.udmercy.edu portal.

We apologize for this inconvenience this morning in allowing us to make this move now in preparation for the new Blackboard environment coming in Term II.

TitanConnect - Scheduled Outage - Starting Today at 5 pm through Sunday

This is a gentle reminder that the TitanConnect Self-Service and INB services will be offline starting at 5:00 pm today and will return to availability on Sunday.  Please exist Self-Service or INB prior to 5:00 pm.

During this time, the TitanConnect portal (https://tc.udmercy.edu) and My Portal (https://my.udmercy.edu) will remain online and available however, the links for these two services will not function.  Once the upgrades are completed, access will be restored.

MCN - AV Office Offline, Briggs Ground Floor IT network services offline, Briggs Basement WIFI offline, Briggs Fax Machines offline

Please be advised that due to some water damage, the ground floor of the Briggs building is temporarily without IT network services which includes wireless, wired and telecom.

 

Fax lines in Briggs may not work as well throughout the building.  Other floors should be operating fine as of this time.

 

 

As a result of this, the ITS-AV Briggs office is temporarily offline.  You may call the x1500 and leave a message and they will pick up the voice-mail as soon as they are able.  The AV office may also be reached via email at dts@udmercy.edu.  For emergency items or everyday needs, you may also stop by the B014 office. 

 

 

It may be more than a few days while the water damage is cleared, replacement equipment is acquired and set up.  Your patience as we deal with this matter is greatly appreciated.

Disruption to internet connectivity UPDATE - Service restored

3/7 UPDATE: Currently we are experiencing a disruption in internet connectivity. The issue has been found to be due to hardware failure.  Our team is working to replace the equipment and the repair will likely take until the end of the day or possibly through to tomorrow morning before connectivity is restored.

Please be advised, a scheduled power outage for the Shiple building on the McNichols campus from 8:30 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. this Monday, January 15, 2018, will limit access to TitanConnect, Blackboard, the University’s website and other McNichol’s hosted solutions for on-campus access during this time.  Resident’s living in Shiple will also be unable to access these services during this time.

 

During this short outage, users from off-campus will likely receive a “page not found” message.  If you encounter this, please retry accessing after 10:00 A.M.
