TitanConnect Mail Services Restored

Mail services have been restored.

TitanConnect E-mail Server: Hardware Failure

The TitanConnect E-mail server is down due to a hardware failure. ITS is currently working with the support vendor to bring services back online.

TitanConnect Mail Server Maintenance - 01/29/13

Please be advised that the TitanConnect email system will be temporarily down the morning of Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at 6:00 am for approximately 1.5 to 2 hours while a necessary hardware upgrade is installed.

Email will continue to be received by the University and it will be delivered once the system is back up.  All other services including the portal, INB, SSB, Blackboard, etc. will continue to operate as they normally do.

Please do not plan on using TitanConnect email services during this period; if you are logged in, please close your session and log out before 6:00 a.m. to prevent possible loss of data.

Blackboard maintenance action is concluded and Blackboard Service is available.

The Law Campus and Clinics appear to be down at the moment.  ITS will work to bring them online as quickly as possible.

Blackboard Maintenance - Monday Jan. 28, 7:30 a.m.

Blackboard software patch installation is scheduled for Monday, January 28, starting at 7:30 a.m. in the regular maintenance window.
Installation requires taking system down which will result in service outage, no longer than 30 minutes. Please don't plan on using Blackboard during this period; if you are logged in, please close your session and log out before 7:30 a.m. to prevent possible loss of data.

Poor Dorms Internet Service - Resolved

Due to system malfunction, Internet users have experienced poor service starting 7:00 p.m. yesterday, Jan. 24.

Corrective action took place as soon as ITS got aware of this situation. Internet service to Dorms runs on full capacity and at standard quality level.

We sorry for inconvenience caused to Dorms users.

Quads North - WIFI Out on One Floor

Quads North - we're seeing an outage a WIFI outage on one floor.  There may be enough bleed from the other floors to cover this area but signal strength will appear weaker than normal.  Until we can get this back online Monday, you'll need to use your wired connection.

Banner Database Upgrade Complete

The upgrade is now complete.  Access to TitanConnect INB and TitanConnect Self Service is now available.

The Upgrade is still in process.  The upgrade is now being tested.  Another post will be made when the upgrade is complete and it is safe to get into the system again.

Banner Database Upgrade Starting

The ITS department is performing a required upgrade on Saturday, January 19, 2013 that will require some (not all) systems to be down from approximately 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 pm.

Systems that will be down include only TitanConnect INB and TitanConnect Self Service.

Systems that will remain up include TitanConnect Portal, E-mail, Blackboard, WWW, TitanConnect Report Viewer, TitanConnect Report Writer, Cascade, TitanNet, Helpdesk, Facilityrequest.  On campus internet access will remain available during this time.

The issue affecting the UDM exchange server has been identified and resolved. Access to Exchange has been restored.

TitanConnect Maintenance - 01/09/2013 5:00 am to 8:00 am

Maintenance is scheduled for the TitanConnect calendaring server and one of the portal web servers for January 9, 2013 between 5:00 am and 8:00 am.  During this maintenance window TitanConnect calendaring will be unavailable.  All other TitanConnect services including portal, email, ssb, inb and Blackboard sso are expected to remain in service.

Hotmail, MSN Mail (now working again)

We are currently seeing a problem sending Email to Microsoft's Hotmail.com and MSN.com  .  We're investigating to see if we're being blocked or if there is another issue.


Mail started delivering again at about 2:45.  All queued up messages should be delivered now, both inbound and outbound.
