TitanConnect Parallel Deployment Successfully Completed

After a marathon session starting Friday morning at 7:30 am and a public start at 6:00 pm through to Saturday at 11:30 am, the Web Services team and Senior Network Manager are pleased to report UDM has its first fully functional parallel deployment environment in place for production use.

This environment was put in place in anticipation of all UDM students coming into the TitanConnect environment for registration starting March 16 and eventually all student e-mail moving onto this platform as well.

Please feel free to log in and use the system to it full capability. If you notice any issues, please report them to through a helpdesk ticket at http://helpdesk.udmercy.edu. Please don't assume others will report, we'd like to hear from all.

There are two known issues that we encountered during our test run of the parallel deployment that require additional work. You need not report on these known issues.

Issue #1, some tabs on the portal page may be misnamed or carry the same name as another personal tab. Please proceed with renaming your tab back to what it originally was.

Issue #2, something we have seen in the past and resolved and something we hope to address as quickly as possible. E-mail users (thus only faculty and staff) may find that once they log off the portal that there e-mail session remains open. The X button the email screen does not properly function but if you go to the calendar tab in the e-mail and click on logout, this will properly log you out of that environment. Ultimately, once you logout of the portal you should also be cleared out of your e-mail account.

Kudos to the Luminis team who have implemented the new solution.

Thanks for hard work; can gain access to e-mail via UDM website IT section but not directly from web. If go to https://titanconnect.udmercy.edu/cp/home/displaylogin
connection times out. Hopefully you will be able to correct this soon.

Yes, if using the old http://titanconnect.udmercy.edu link that will time out as that URL is no longer valid. Please update your bookmark to the new URL which is

tc.udmercy.edu

I suspect there are a few links throughout www.udmercy.edu that will need to be corrected.

I am at a meeting on another Jesuit campus--USF. I can access the login and get to my portal page, but when I click on the email icon, the email screen appears but it is blank. After a few minutes a "Network timed out" message appears. On my hotel's wireless network, I do not have this problem... only on campus.

An addition to the previous post. I was using Firefox, and just tried another browser, Netscape 7.0. Same result, but the error message was slightly different: "connection refused." Also, the portal page did not display properly in Netscape 7.0.

I cannot get onto email at any of the links mentiopned above.

Try this, we've had some success with this over the weekend.

In IE clear your browsing history, then close IE. Start it up again. Go to tc.udmercy.edu and your session error should go away and you can log in.

Same thing to try at USF previous poster.
