Email Issue

Since 3:00 am we have experienced a low flow of internet e-mail coming into UDM.  Outgoing is fine.  Investigating the low-flow situation.

Why are we getting so much more spam in the last couple weeks?

This has been going on since last evening about 8:00PM. I received a long distance call this morning, saying e-mail sent to me last night was returned.

Do you have any update on this problem? I have not received any email all day. Thank you.

Mail is flowing, its just coming through slowly.

j'lynn, not sure why you are getting more SPAM. Is this actual spam going into your inbox or just more being reported in your daily report?`

If too much coming through, login by clicking on the link in your daily summary and up your settings.

If too much on the daily report...well, that's a good thing instead of having those in your inbox, you only have to deal with the summary message to review for false positives that need to be unjunked.

The network group is continuing to work through the problem. Its a more complicated security situation than we've seen in the past.

The work on this continues. We will be delayed for 8 more hours while Facilities takes the power down in Shiple.

Anonymous...it is in my inbox. What daily summary do I log in to to update my settings? I don't receive a daily report of any kind in my inbox.

Let us know your user code either in the blog or by e-mail to its@udmercy.edu and we'll see if we can fix that for you.

Mail appears to be flowing in and out fine.

I emailed what I think my user code is last week/over the weekend, but haven't heard anything yet.

Thank you.
