This appears to be affecting me too (seems I cannot access DNS server, so web browsing from off campus on UDM-owned laptop is not working).
This died around 6:20.
You are correct.
Notebook user - please follow up with the Helpdesk for a solution on this when next on campus so your DNS settings are not hardcoded but use the DNS settings from your local connection when off-site.
